Erhard Lelle

Erhard Lelle (born May 21, 1946 in Hermersberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Kaiserslautern in 1966 , Lelle studied until 1971 at the University of Education in Landau in the Palatinate for teaching at primary and secondary schools. He then worked as a secondary school teacher until he became rector of the Hermersberg elementary school in 1989. Lelle is married and has three children.

In 1979 Lelle joined the CDU and was elected to the local council of Hermersberg, of which he was a member until 1989. From 1980 to 1989 he was the second alderman of the Waldfischbach-Burgalben community . In 1989 he became a member of the district council of the district of Südwestpfalz . From 1991 to 2008 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . There he was education policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group from 1994 to 2001 and then deputy chairman of the parliamentary group until 2006. In the CDU, Lelle was a member of the state executive committee from 1993 to 2001 and in 1997 became chairman of the district association of Südwestpfalz.
