Erhardt + Leimer is a Swabian manufacturer of automation technology based in Stadtbergen near Augsburg. The company specializes in applications for systems that process products on webs and belts. This includes, for example, sensors, inspection systems and components for web printing machines , paper machines , textile machines and machines for the production of batteries and tires .

The company was founded in 1919 by Manfred Erhardt in Augsburg-Pfersee . This initially sold industrial clocks and signal systems and provided services for these products. In 1925, the electrical mechanic Albert Leimer joined the company and helped set up a precision engineering workshop. Company founder Manfred Erhardt died in 1933, so that the development of the first precision mechanical devices for the textile industry began in 1935 without him. From 1943 Albert Leimer acted as a partner in the company and renamed Manfred Erhardt + Co. to Erhardt + Leimer KG. Hannelore Leimer, the daughter of Albert Leimer, has been chairwoman of the management board since 1977.
