Eric Griffin (musician)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eric (or Erik) Griffin (born December 28, 1976 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American bassist from the horror punk band Murderdolls .

He started playing the electric guitar at the age of twelve , and less than six months later he dedicated himself to the electric bass . Griffin played for various bands around and in Boston . In the 90s he was musically influenced by Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson .

He later moved to California , where he was the bass player for the band Synical. A little later, his best friend, Ben Graves , moved to California and played drums in the same band . Shortly thereafter, both Griffin and Graves became members of the Murderdolls , supposedly only because Griffin looked alike to Nikki Sixx and Graves was cool.

Later, Joey Jordison , who gave the reasoning, corrected that this statement should not be taken too seriously and that Griffin and Graves are, above all, talented musicians.

He has worked with other musicians, for example Ajax Garcia and Jesse Mendez in the newly-famous band The Napoleon Blownaparts (also The Blownaparts ). Griffin played live with various bands, including a .:

  • New Rising Son
  • Faster pussycat
  • Happenin 'Harry
  • Roxy Saint
  • The Napoleon Blownaparts
  • Wednesday 13

Further, firm projects with "New Rising Son", "Spyder Baby" and "The Blownaparts" are still in the distant future.

His greatest heroes and idols are Randy Rhoads, Gene Simmons, Nikki Sixx, Twiggy Ramirez and Robin Finck.
