Eric Hoffmann (born May 5, 1989 in Stralsund ) is a former German handball player .
Hoffmann began playing handball at the Stralsund HV . In 2006 he moved to the youngsters of SC Magdeburg (handball) and was also used for the regional league team SV Concordia Staßfurt . With the SC Magdeburg he was in the years 2007 and 2008 German runner-up in the A-youth. From the 2008/2009 season he will play again at the Stralsund AGM; after the 2010/2011 season he left the club and did not play until December 2012; from January 2013 he was active again for the Stralsund AGM.
With the Stralsund HV he played in the first handball Bundesliga in 2008/2009 .
Hoffmann attended the Goethe-Gymnasium in Stralsund and completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk in Stralsund from August 2008.
His older brother Martin Hoffmann also plays handball.
