Eric Hyoun-Cheoul Kim (born January 11, 1977 in Bramalee , Canada ) is a Canadian comic artist .

education

He grew up in Toronto and showed a tendency to draw comics from an early age. After high school , he attended Sheridan College , where after five years he graduated from the Basic Art Program, the Interpretive Illustration Program and, after completing his studies, the Computer Animation Program .

Early work

His work in the entertainment industry began at 4 Elements Studios in Montreal , but he did not stay there for long and returned home to Toronto. He started a career in visual effects at Mr. X FX and worked on films like Cube 2: Hypercube and Blizzard, TV productions like Veritas and Anonymous Rex , as well as some storyboards.

Breakthrough in the comic business

He met J. Torres in 2003 at the Toronto Comics Arts Festival with whom he developed the comic book Love As A Foreign Language for Oni Press and illustrated it to the end. He has also freelanced for Dynamic Forces , Udon Entertainment and the Marvel Entertainment Group , as well as some fantasy and role-playing games. He's also producing a webcomic titled Battle Academy.
