Eric Obinna Chukwunyelu (born June 10, 1981 in Owerri ) is a Nigerian football player who also has French citizenship.

Career as a player

Obinna played in his youth with the Nigerian club Iwuanyanwu Comets and in Brazil with the EC Vitória . In 1998 Obinna was signed by the English professional club Arsenal , but despite a five-year contract, she was not given a work permit and was loaned to AS St. Etienne . When he returned from France to London from Red Star Paris after the 1999/00 season , Obinna was again denied a work permit at Arsenal FC and was loaned to France again, this time to Rouen FC . After two seasons at Rouen, the striker moved to Germany, first for two seasons with the Stuttgarter Kickers and then with the amateurs from 1. FC Kaiserslautern . After that, Obinna was still on the ball for Reading and Stevenage Borough in England and for SS Cassino in Italy in 1927. Until he returned to Heartland FC in 2007 in his home country . He then worked for various clubs in South Korea , Singapore and Malta .
