Eric Sheffer Stevens

Eric Sheffer Stevens , born Stevens (born June 19, 1972 in Sacramento , California ) is an American actor . He is especially known for his role as Dr. Reid Oliver in the American soap opera Young and Passionate - As The World Turns.

Life

Sheffer Stevens was born on June 19, 1972 in Sacramento , California . His family moved to Chicago, then Delaware, and finally Connecticut, where he attended high school. He studied literature at Wheaton College in Illinois. During his studies there, he became interested in theater. He moved to New York City and appeared in productions in the Village and the Lower East Side. He finished his thesis while honing his acting skills at the prestigious Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Sheffer Stevens went back to New York City to pursue his career. He married the actress Jenny Sheffer Stevens.

Stevens became known through his role as Dr. Reid Oliver in the American soap opera As The World Turns. He first appeared as the arrogant, vicious neurologist on January 19, 2010. His character is mostly associated with the main character Luke Snyder (Van Hansis). Both characters have a romantic relationship. Dr. Reid Oliver on September 7, 2010 when he was killed while trying to save the life of a colleague. Shaffer played Peter in the US remake Silent House, which is a remake of the Uruguayan horror film La Casa Muda.

Projects

In order to make something good out of something tragic (the death of Stevens' character Dr. Reid Oliver in the series As The World Turns ), Eric's fans from all over the world are currently donating money for the medical aid organization Doctors Without Borders . The goal of collecting $ 15,000 by September 17, 2010, the last day of the soap opera As The World Turns , was already surpassed on September 7, 2010 with $ 15,085. The target amount for the Doctors Without Borders - ESS fundraiser was increased to $ 20,000. The campaign ends on August 19, 2011. The idea to raise money for Doctors Without Borders came from Eric Sheffer Stevens himself. When his fans suggested that he raise money for a good cause, he suggested this aid organization, which he himself did supported. The total amount raised by the last day of broadcast, September 17, 2010 10:30 pm, is $ 17,135.00. Various American soap magazines reported on the action. Total donation as of October 12, 2010: $ 20,250.00.

Sheffer Stevens shot the low-budget film Lefty Loosey Righty Tighty with friends in September 2010 . He plays a recently divorced college professor who believes he's a loser and no one will ever love him again. The production team is currently soliciting funds in order to be able to produce a finished film from the more than 300 hours of film material. Contributions are rewarded with various rewards.
