Eric Wood (* 18th March 1986 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the center . He played nine seasons with the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Wood, who had offers from several universities, chose the University of Louisville and played for their team, the Cardinals , successfully college football , playing a total of 49 games.

NFL

In the NFL Draft 2009 he was selected in the 1st round as the 28th player by the Buffalo Bills and was able to establish himself there immediately. Already in his rookie year, he ran as a starting - offensive guard on the right side. He had to end the season early because of a fractured lower leg.

In 2010 it was also used as a center for the first time. Since 2011 he has only played in this position. He has been spared injuries since 2013 and has played every Bills game since then. In 2015 he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time .

After the 2017 season , Eric Wood had to retire due to a neck injury.
