Erich Altrock

Erich Altrock (born April 12, 1920 in Labiau ; † May 31, 2004 in Düsseldorf ) was a German actor .

Life

Erich Altrock received his artistic training from 1938 to 1940 at the Hamburg Drama Studio Menzel. However, he was only able to make his stage debut after the end of the Second World War . Stations in his career included theaters in Eckernförde, Cottbus, Halberstadt, Halle, the West German State Theater in Siegburg and the Theater of the Young World in Leipzig. From 1961 to 1966 Altrock had an engagement at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, after which he played at the Volkstheater Rostock for almost 25 years before retiring into private life.

From the mid-1950s, old rock was also seen on television and on screen, mostly in supporting roles. Well-known productions were the DEFA feature film Now and in the Hour of My Death or Serious Inventor Seeks Partners , the first episode of the DFF series The Public Prosecutor has the floor . In addition, Altrock appeared in some television recordings from the Rostock Volkstheater.
