The 2016/17 Bobsleigh World Cup began on December 2, 2016 in Whistler and ended on March 19, 2016 in Pyeongchang . The World Cup comprised eight stations in North America , Europe and Asia and was held parallel to the Skeleton World Cup 2016/17 . The racing series was organized by the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF). The highlights of the season were the European Championships from January 13th to 15th, 2016 in Winterberg , which will be held parallel to the World Cup, and the World Championships , which took place at Königssee from February 13th to 26th, 2016 but did not belong to the World Cup.
The European Cup and the North American Cup served as the foundation for the World Cup . The results of all racing series were included in the IBSF Bobsleigh Ranking 2016/17 .
