Erich Benedikt
Erich Benedikt (born November 11, 1929 in Vienna ) is an Austrian ministerial official , Germanist , grammar school teacher and music writer .
Life
Erich Benedikt studied German, history and education in Vienna. From 1969 he was head of the pedagogical department for general secondary schools in the Federal Ministry for Education and Art in Vienna, most recently as section head .
He became widely known as the editor of the Austrian dictionary . He published his research in numerous publications on literary, historical and educational topics, which in later years also concerned local history and musicological topics.
