Erich Brenter (born February 23, 1941 ) is an Austrian skibob athlete and entrepreneur.

Life

Erich Brenter, the son of the skibob inventor Engelbert Brenter , took over his father's business in 1967 and expanded the small skibob manufacturer into an industrial company.

In 1964 the young mechanical engineer in Cervinia (Italy) set the world speed record of 166 km / h on his father's original wooden skibob; this earned him an entry in the Guinness Book of Records . His record has not been beaten by any other driver for more than 30 years. In addition to this world record, Erich was one of the most successful skibob racers of the 1960s.

In racing, Erich also met his Norwegian wife Ranheid. She was also a successful racer and has been responsible for finances in her husband's company since 1968.

1965 Erich Brenter becomes the first skibob downhill European champion in skibob history.
