Erich Hessing

Erich Hessing (born September 12, 1906 in Hamburg ; † August 9, 1996 in Lüneburg ) was a Protestant clergyman and author.

Life

Erich Hessing studied theology and was ordained in Hanover on April 13, 1934 . In 1934 he became a pastor in Hanover with the assignment to work with Regional Bishop August Marahrens . In 1935 he became pastor in Bad Essen , in 1950 superintendent in Bleckede , and in 1953 he was given leave to serve as pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Rome. After his return he became superintendent in Burgwedel in 1963 and superintendent in Bleckede in 1967. He was retired on June 1, 1974.
