Erich Hofmann (graphic designer)

Erich Hofmann (* 1924 in Konstanz ; † January 8, 2016 there ) was a German graphic artist.

Life

Hofmann studied at the art academies in Freiburg and Stuttgart. He then founded an advertising agency together with his brother Herbert in Konstanz. In addition to work for the regional area, he also designed national advertising, created book illustrations and record covers, such as the audio book predecessor Tönende Bücher . Also independent book publications, mainly on urban history topics.

On his 75th birthday, the city of Konstanz organized a comprehensive exhibition about his artistic work.
