Erich Lodemann (born October 26, 1909 in Berlin , † October 24, 1944 in Brandenburg prison ) was a German resistance fighter against the Nazi regime.

Career

As a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD), the Communist Youth Association of Germany and the Reich leadership of the Red Student Union , he worked from 1933 to 1935 in an illegal student resistance group at Berlin University. He was arrested in 1936 and to three and a half years prison sentenced and joined the after his release Uhrig Group on, was then arrested again in February 1942 and finally after stays in various concentration camps in 1944 sentenced to death and the Brandenburg penitentiary executed . In his memory, a street in Berlin was named after him ("Erich-Lodemann-Straße"), on which there is also a memorial plaque. His final resting place is in the Baumschulenweg cemetery in Berlin-Treptow .
