Erich Rhein

Erich Rhein (born July 19, 1902 in Bad Muskau , † December 22, 1956 in Hanover ) was a German painter and graphic artist.

Rhein studied from 1923 to 1929 at the United State Schools for Free and Applied Arts and at the State University for Art Education in Berlin . From 1947 he was a professor and headed the free painting and graphics department at the Werkkunstschule in Hanover. His works were u. a. Exhibited in the Kunsthalle Bremen in 1952 .

He wrote a standard work on printing techniques, which has appeared in several editions.
