Erich Rippl

Erich Rippl (born May 22, 1958 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). He has been a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag since 2009 .

Rippl attended the elementary school in Schneegattern between 1964 and 1968 and the secondary school in Straßwalchen from 1968 to 1972 . Then Rippl completed the polytechnic course in Friedburg . Between 1973 and 1977 he learned the trade of locksmith and coppersmith and was employed in these professions at the Schwingenschlögel company in Eugendorf. He also did his military service and spent six months in the UNO in Cyprus. After that, Rippl was construction manager at Injekta Rosenheim from 1981 to 2002, after which he was employed at AMAG Ranshofen from 2002 to 2003.

Rippl was elected party chairman of the SPÖ Lengau in 1997 and has held the office of mayor since 2003. He is also chairman of the future leader region Oberinnviertel-Mattigtal and chairman of Lengau. Since October 23, 2009, Rippl has been a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament.

Rippl is married and has a son (* 1988).
