Erich Schriever
Erich Schriever (born August 6, 1924 - April 29, 2020 ) was a Swiss rower who won the silver medal in the four-man team at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London .
The first European rowing championships after the Second World War were held in Lucerne in 1947 . In the eighth , the Italians won ahead of the Danes and the Swiss. Rudolf Reichling , Erich Schriever, Émile Knecht and Peter Stebler switched from the eighth in 1947 to the four with helmsman. With helmsman André Moccand , the Swiss won the 1948 Olympic Games in the preliminary, intermediate and semi-finals. In the final, the US rowers won ahead of the Swiss and Danes.
In 1953 Peter Stebler and Erich Schriever from the Seeclub Zurich won the European championship in double sculls, in 1954 they took second place behind the German boat.
