Erich Stoll (politician)

Erich Stoll (* 1900 ; † after 1980 ) was a German local politician , local history researcher and author as well as teacher and school principal in Großburgwedel .

Life

Erich Stoll worked in the post-war period as a teacher and later as principal at the former school in Mitteldorf, today's Großburgwedeler elementary school. At his instigation, as chairman of the sports club Turnerschaft Großburgwedel (TSG), the community of Großburgwedel built a multi-purpose gym at the local primary school in 1953.

On November 1, 1954, Stoll opened today's library of the town with 110 books in a room of the former community office .

From May 26, 1967 on, Stoll was mayor of the municipality of Großburgwedel and from February 2, 1968, he was the mayor of Burgwedel .

Erich Stoll was a member of the Lower Saxony Heimatbund and a key founder of the Großburgwedel local group. He wrote the Großburgwedel Chronicle published in 1972 . The writing is based in part on the church book of the St. Petri parish and was used, for example, in the clarification of war crimes and the discussions about the content of the Großburgwedeler memorial .
