Erich Christian Franz Weinnoldt (born September 29, 1892 in Kiel ; † May 20, 1954 there ) was a German graduate engineer and Ministerialrat.

Erich Weinnoldt was a son of Ernst Weinnoldt and his wife Else Margarete, née Schütze. The father taught as Prof. Dr. phil. at the Kiel Naval School and was director of the municipal trade schools in Hanover .

Weinnoldt attended the humanistic grammar school in Kiel and then studied civil engineering at universities in Hanover and Munich . He spent the years from 1915 to 1920 in captivity. After graduating in 1920 as a graduate engineer, he received a position as a government master builder on November 20, 1922 and in this position was in charge of the construction of the Hindenburg dam . In 1927 he took over the management of the preparatory labor office, which was supposed to solve problems on the Eider valley .

Promoted to the government building council in 1928, Weinnoldt was a member of the board of directors of the Marschenbauamt in Heide from 1936 to 1939 . In 1938 he became a senior government building officer and worked as a department head for the government in Schleswig. In 1948 he changed to the Ministry for Rural Areas and Forests in Kiel . In 1951 he got a job as government building director; from 1953 he worked as a ministerial advisor.

During his time as head of department and department head, Weinnoldt was in charge of all aspects of water management. His efforts to regulate water management in the area of ​​the Eider are worth mentioning. In addition, he tried to protect the coast and initiated an extensive program to strengthen the dikes and supported the work of the professions. He co-founded the North Sea and Baltic Sea Coastal Committee and was the main editor of the magazine Wasser und Boden .
