Erik Baška (born January 12, 1994 in Považská Bystrica ) is a Slovak cyclist .

Career

Erik Baška went to Dukla Trencin Trek at the age of 18 . The following year he became Slovak champion in the U23 individual time trial. He repeated this success in 2015. In 2014 Baska won smaller bike races in Eastern Europe .

He won the UEC European Road Championships for Juniors / U23 in 2015 and was therefore European Champion in the U23 road race. Previously won a stage at the Tour de Berlin and at the Carpathian Couriers Race .

In 2016 he went to the UCI WorldTeam Tinkoff . In March 2016, he won the Belgian one-day handzame Classic . In 2017 he switched to Bora-hansgrohe . In 2018 he finished second in the mass sprint behind John Degenkolb at the Trofeo Palma .
