Erik Erstad-Jørgensen

Erik Erstad-Jørgensen (born November 17, 1871 in Copenhagen , † May 12, 1945 in Hørsholm ) was a Danish garden architect .

Life

Erstad-Jørgensen trained as a horticulturist at the gardening school in Rosenborg and trained as a horticultural architect at the Copenhagen Art Academy with Edvard Glæsel . He worked as a garden architect in Copenhagen from 1898 and in 1907 became a member of the board of the Royal Danish Horticultural Society.

Erstad-Jørgensen designed numerous municipal parks in Copenhagen and larger Danish cities, but also the Pildammspark in Malmö . He published a book on villa gardens (Villahaven, 1900).
