Erika Marie Körner , married Erika Tiller , (born March 14, 1902 in Danzig , German Reich ; † beginning of June 1979 Vienna - Währing , Austria ) was a German-Austrian actress and singer .

Life

The daughter of the businessman Hermann Körner and his wife Elise first attended the lyceum and trained at the conservatory. Her first engagements followed in the 1920s, which would subsequently lead her to Munich, Vienna, Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden and Königsberg (Pr.) As an operetta singer. She gave guest appearances in the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Through her marriage to the Austrian court actor Anton Tiller and the accompanying birth (1929) of daughter Nadja Tiller , who was to become a film star in the Federal Republic of Germany in the 1950s, Erika Körner-Tiller severely restricted her artistic activities. She only appeared very sporadically in front of the camera (film and television) and also very rarely took on theater tasks, for example in 1951 when she moved to the Vienna City Theater . On June 12, 1979 Erika Tiller, nee Körner, was buried in the Vienna Central Cemetery (group 2, row 2, number 21).
