Erika Rothstein

Erika Rothstein (born October 20, 1935 in Haan ; † June 12, 2015 in Solingen ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

Erika Rothstein graduated from elementary school in 1951. Then she completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk.

politics

Erika Rothstein had been a member of the SPD since 1976. In 1979 she became a member of the City Council of Solingen. She acted as mayor of the city of Solingen from 1984 to 1994. Since 1952 she was a member of the DAG .

Erika Rothstein was a directly elected member of the 11th and 12th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 039 Solingen II from May 31, 1990 to June 1, 2000 .

Honors

In 2012 Rothstein was awarded the Ring of Honor of the City of Solingen.
