Erika Sandt

Erika Sandt (born April 8, 1918 in Pirmasens ; † February 11, 2010 there ) was a German music teacher .

Life

Erika Sandt came from the Pirmasens factory owner family Kurt Sandt. After graduating from high school in 1937, she studied music in Karlsruhe with a focus on piano and classical singing. After World War II she performed in numerous concerts, gave piano and singing lessons and guided courses at the community college and the choirmaster Seminar of Sängerbund . In 1977 she founded the “Palatinate Vocal Quartet”. For many years she was a member of the culture committee of the Pirmasens city council. As a reviewer of cultural events, she worked for the newspaper Die Rheinpfalz for more than 50 years and for the Pirmasenser Zeitung for over 40 years .
