Erina Ikuta ( Japanese 生 田 衣 梨 奈 , Ikuta Erina ; born July 7, 1997 in Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a member of the Japanese girl group Morning Musume under the umbrella of Hello! Projects . In 2010 she won the Kyuukie Audition and became part of the 9th generation of Morning Musume. Before that she was under contract as a model under the label "Elegant Promotion".

biography

After Ikuta successfully participated in the casting for Morning Musume's 9th generation in 2010, she was officially accepted as a member and introduced on January 2, 2011 together with Mizuki Fukumura , Riho Sayashi and Kanon Suzuki. This happened as part of the Hello! Winter concert that began that day. Projects. In the year the debut song of the 9th generation, "Maji Desu ka Ska", follows on April 6th. On July 30th, Ikuta gave herself a short hairstyle, in keeping with her new job as Oha-Girl Maple on the show "Oha Star", where she replaced Saki Ogawa, who had recently been taken from Hello! Project had dropped out. On March 27, 2012 Ikuta left the "Oha Star" program himself.

In a livestream on July 4th, she announced that she would change her member color from dark purple to yellow-green. She explained that she had personally asked Risa Niigaki , who had dropped out a few weeks earlier and who wore the color yellow-green during her active time, to be allowed to inherit her color. Since the "Reborn ~ Inochi no Audition ~" play, Ikuta had become a huge Niigaki fan and had proclaimed her love and respect for her several times. In early 2013, Erina Ikuta was photographed for a magazine that publishes a special section about Idol school leavers. The magazine was published on February 27th. Shortly after, on March 20, Ikuta graduated from middle school.

With Mizuki Fukumura's appointment as Leader Morning Musumes, Ikuta moved up to Subleader on November 26, 2014.
