Gable side with the monument to Friedrich Ludwig Jahn
The memorial gym in Freyburg an der Unstrut , a town in Saxony-Anhalt , was inaugurated on June 10, 1894. The gym at Oberstraße 9 is a protected cultural monument .
The gable side of the hall was prepared above the old grave of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn as a place for memorial events. A bust reminds of the gymnastics father .
The memorial gymnasium is still used today by the Freyburg schools and clubs. In 1994 the gymnasium was renovated and completed by installing a sanitary block underground.
