Erkki Kalervo Rajala (born March 12, 1923 in Orimattila , † December 5, 1977 in Lahti ) was a Finnish ski jumper .

Career

Rajala, who started for Lahden Hiihtoseura , was part of the Finnish national team at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz . In the first round he fell badly and could not finish the competition. In 1950 he was back in the international squad and won jumping in his hometown of Lahti . He fell in Rovaniemi , but was able to jump to third place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In 1951 he finished the Swiss ski jumping week in fifth place.

In 1952 he jumped his personal best with 104 meters in Oberstdorf .
