Church of the Redeemer

The branch church of the Divine Savior is a Roman Catholic church in the 20th district of Brigittenau in Vienna at Burghardtgasse 30a on Eduard-Brückner-Gasse and is a listed building .

The church is a glass and concrete structure and was built in 1983 according to plans by the architects Eva Mang and Karl Mang . The transverse hall space with an organ gallery has an elongated choir wall curved to the northeast with an apse conche and a staggered main front in the southwest. In the apse conche there is a cylindrical tabernacle on a round stone pedestal. The stained glass Rainbow and Resurrection are by Lydia Roppolt from 1983. The crucifix by the sculptor Konrad Campidell is from 1985.

From 1984 to 2017, the Church of the Redeemer was the parish church of the Parish of the Divine Redeemer. On September 1, 2017, the parish was dissolved and the area assigned to the parish to all saints . The Church of the Redeemer has since been a subsidiary church of the parish of To all Saints and the church of the parish of the Divine Savior.
