Ermanno Capelli (born May 9, 1985 in Ponte San Pietro ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Career

In the 2006 season Ermanno Capelli won the two U23 one-day races Trofeo Banca Popolare Piva and the Grand Prix Palio del Recioto . He also finished third in the time trial of the U23 class at the Italian championship in Venezia Giulia . At the road world championship 2009 in Salzburg he started in the U23 road race and made it to the 60th place. In 2007 he was second behind the Croatian Hrvoje Miholjević at the Coppa San Geo . In 2008, Capelli competed as a neoprofi for his Saunier Duval-Scott team with the Giro d'Italia, his first big tour. However, he ended this prematurely on the 15th stage. He also gave up the Giro d'Italia 2010 . After the 2011 season, Capelli ended his international career.
