The Ermenek Çayı is the largest tributary of the Göksu in the southern Turkish provinces of Antalya , Karaman , Konya and Mersin .
The Ermenek Çayı rises in the south of the Konya province in the Geyik-Dağları , a mountain range of the Taurus Mountains . The river initially runs in a southerly direction. He passes the town of Çamiçi in Hadim County . The Ermenek Çayı flows a bit through the province of Antalya and turns to the east. He crosses the provincial border to Karaman. Later the Ermenek Çayı is dammed up by the Ermenek Dam and the Gezende Dam . On the lower reaches of the Ermenek Çayı, below the Gezende dam, there are three hydropower plants (Azmak-1, Azmak-2, Kirpilik). The hydropower plants are each located directly on a weir and were specially designed so that there is as little interference as possible with the course of the river and the environment. The total capacity is 24.3 MW. The Ermenek Çayı finally flows south of Mut into the Göksu coming from the north.
