Ermsdorf ( lux . : Iermsdref ) is a town in the Luxembourg Ernztalgemeinde . Until the end of 2011, Ermsdorf was the capital of the municipality of the same name, which belonged to the canton of Diekirch . The municipality of Ermsdorf was merged with Medernach on January 1st, 2012 to form the Ernztal municipality .
