Ernes Erko Kalač

Ernes Erko Kalač (born June 28, 1964 in Rozaje , Yugoslavia ) is a former integration ambassador for the German Olympic Sports Confederation . He is a qualified sports trainer, karateka and kickboxer and was a speaker at the World Karate Federation (WKF) for people with disabilities and contact person for the Paralympic Committee . Kalač is a member of the SPD .

From 1970 to 1979 he attended the “Mustafa Pecanin” school (elementary school) in Rozaje (today in Montenegro ), from 1980 to 1984 the grammar school “30. September ”and graduated from high school there. Here he also completed an apprenticeship as a scientific assistant in mathematics . In 1984 he began his studies to become a mechanical engineer at the Technical University in Novi Sad, Serbia, which he successfully completed in 1989. At the same time he studied for four semesters at the Institute for Sport and Physical Culture, also in Novi Sad, the profession of qualified karate sports teacher; he also graduated successfully in 1989.

Coaching career

Ernes Erko Kalač (6th DAN Karate) started doing martial arts at the age of ten. In 1988 he founded the karate club "IBAR" Rozaje Montenegro in his hometown of Rozaje and worked there as a trainer. In 1998 he fled the war to Germany and worked as a kickboxing and karate trainer at the Killer Sports Club in Groß-Zimmer. From 1999 to 2002 he was a karate trainer in Maintal and a karate trainer in the Budokan Offenbach. Ernes Erko Kalač has held the B trainer license for the German Karate Federation and the A trainer license in the Karate Federation of Montenegro since 2002. He is also a qualified sports teacher. From 2002 to 2006 he was national coach in Kumite Karate for Serbia and Montenegro.

Integration work

In 2002 Ernes Erno Kalač founded the integrative health and martial arts association Lotus Eppertshausen / Rödermark . Both disabled people and refugees have the opportunity to learn martial arts in the association. It is z. B. also largely destitute refugee children are given free sports equipment and full membership is made possible. The association or Kalac, which has been the first chairman since 2003, has been awarded the Sports Star , the Hessian Integration Prize 2006 and the Heinz Lindner Prize 2007 several times for this exemplary work .

Karate for people with disabilities

Ernes Erko Kalač is the first World Karate Federation (WKF) member to have its own department for “Karate for people with disabilities”. In 2008 the first German championship took place in Erfurt. Kalač has worked on the concept of karate for people with disabilities, the competition rules, the competitive and popular sports concept.
