Ernest Dimnet (born June 9, 1866 in Trélon , † 1954 ) was a French priest and writer .

Dimnet was a professor of English and literature at the Stanislas College before emigrating to the United States. His works include Les sœurs Brontë (1910) on the Brontë sisters, France Herself Again (1914) and The Art of Thinking (1928), a popular psychological guide in the United States. In 1932 it was translated into German as The Art of Thinking .
