Ernest Meighan
Ernest Dwayne Meighan (born June 15, 1971 - August 9, 2014 in Belize City ) was a Belizean road cyclist .
Ernest Meighan took part in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona in the road race, which he could not finish. In 1997 he won the Holy Saturday Classic in Belize, in 1999 he was successful at the KREM New Year Cycling Classic and in 2001 he won the Holy Saturday Classic again. At the Tour of Belize , Meighan won a stage each in 2006 and 2008, and in 2007 he and his team were successful in the team time trial. In the 2009 season he was Belizean champion in the individual time trial .
In August 2014, he was shot dead by an assassin in Belize City.
