Ernest d'Hervilly

Ernest d'Hervilly (born May 26, 1839 in Paris , † November 18, 1911 there ) was a French journalist and writer.

After successfully completing his studies, D'Hervilly got a job in the administration of the “Ingenieurs du corps des ponts et chausées” (IPC). During this time he made his first literary attempts. a. also met Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine . It was through the support of these two that d'Hervilly came into contact with most of the Parnassians . Today he is one of this literary association himself.
