Ernestas Jurkonis

Ernestas Jurkonis (* 1969 ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer, politician and Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Justice (since 2018).

Life

After graduating from high school, Ernestas Jurkonis graduated from the Law Faculty of Mykolo Romerio universitetas (MRU) with a bachelor's degree in law .

From 2000 to 2007, Ernestas Jurkonis worked for Kriminalinės policijos biuras , Economic Police , in the Supreme Police Department (VPK) of Vilnius District . In 2012 he headed the organized crime department at VPK. Until February 2017 he was deputy chief of police in the commissioner's office.

From April 2017 he was advisor to Environment Minister Kęstutis Navickas at the Ministry of Environment of Lithuania . Since 2018 he has been Deputy Minister of Justice under the leadership of Minister Elvinas Jankevičius in the Skvernelis cabinet .
