Ernesto Alonso
Ernesto Ramírez Alonso (born February 28, 1917 in Aguascalientes , † August 7, 2007 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican actor, television director and producer.
Alonso began his acting career in 1937 in the film La Sandunga . He had his first significant success in Historia de un Gran Amor (1942) at the side of Jorge Negrete and Gloria Marín . As his popularity grew, Luis Buñuel entrusted him with starring roles in three of his films: Los Olvidados , Abismos de Pasión and Ensayo de un Crimen . He ended his film career in 1957.
In the following years, Alonso made a name for himself as a producer and director of soaps for Mexican television such as Cartas de Amor , Corazòn Salvaje , Corazòn Salvaje , El Maleficio , Bodas de Odio and Amarte es mi Pecado , which earned him the nickname Señor Telenovela . For his services to the Mexican film and television industry, he was awarded a golden Premio Ariel . His brother Alfonso Ramírez Calesero was also known as an actor.
