Ernst Friedrich Beißner (born April 15, 1902 in Hattingen an der Ruhr ; † unknown) was a German SA leader.

Early years (1902 to 1933)

Ernst Beißner was born as the son of the businessman Carl August Beißner (born October 24, 1866 in Grossenwieden, Schaumburg) and Maria Pauline Eleonore Benzenberg (born August 15, 1870 in Wuppertal-Elberfeld). After attending elementary school and secondary school in Hattingen, where he passed his Abitur, Beißner completed a two-year commercial apprenticeship in the textile goods sector .

Following a three-month internship at a bank, he joined his father's retail business, where he was managing director from April 1, 1923 to August 15, 1933. At the same time he worked from February 1, 1925 to September 30, 1933 as a state lottery holder. From August 15, 1933, he was a full-time SA leader.

On January 3, 1929, Beißner married for the first time. His wife died on April 21, 1930 giving birth to their son Ernst Jürgen. Beißner's second marriage followed on January 11, 1935. From the marriage with Johanna Augustre Friederike (born November 3, 1906 in Haspe) the two sons Karl Alfred (born March 21, 1938) and Ralf Frank (born September 20, 1942) and the daughter Bärbel (March 7, 1940) emerged.

Career in NSDAP and SA in the Weimar Republic (1927 to 1933)

On January 27, 1927, Beißner joined the NSDAP ( membership number 55,587). In the party he acted from November 1, 1930 to February 15, 1932 as treasurer of the local group Hattingen. From September 1, 1931 to February 15, 1932 he took over the offices of deputy local group and propaganda leader of the local group Hattingen. From September 1, 1931 to December 1, 1931 he was also head of propaganda for the Ennepe-Ruhr district.

On January 1, 1931, Beißner joined the SA in Hattingen. From July 1, 1931 to November 30, 1932, money manager of the SA sub-group Westphalia South. On December 1, 1932, Ernst Röhm appointed him the money manager of the Westphalia SA group, an office that he was to hold until August 15, 1933.

On August 15, 1933, Beißner was appointed group money administrator for the Westphalia SA group. On the basis of the Fuehrer's Order No. 25 of April 1, 1934, he was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer of the SA and appointed Chief of the Administrative Service of SA Upper Group X, which he remained until September 30, 1934. During the Röhm affair in early summer 1934, Beißner was arrested, but not shot.

By the Führerbefehl 27 of October 1, 1934, Beißner was appointed leader of the administrative department (treasurer) of the SA group in Saxony, which he remained until February 11, 1940. He also became SA Brigade Leader in Dresden . On February 12, 1940, he was appointed Reich Treasurer. He was to keep this office until April 30, 1940. In the period from May 1, 1940 to December 31, 1940 he was head of department (head of the Money Management Office) in the Supreme SA leadership in Munich. On January 1, 1941, Beißner was appointed head of office in the main administration office of the Supreme SA leadership, relieving him of his previous position (Führerbefehl 76).

On April 10, 1938, Beißner was unsuccessfully nominated in the "List of the Führer for the election of the Greater German Reichstag ".

Beißner, who left the Protestant Church on December 16, 1937, was also district leader in the Kampfbund for the commercial middle class and holder of the NSDAP service awards in bronze and silver, the golden party badge (No. 55,587, received on April 14, 1934) , the East Mark Liberation Medal, the Sudeten Liberation Medal. He also took part in the Nazi party rallies of 1934, 1936, 1937 and 1938 and in the sub-group deployment of Westphalia on July 9, 1933 in Dortmund .
