Setup date 1990

The nature reserve Der Ewige Teich is a 25 hectare nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania two kilometers north of Mustin (Schleswig-Holstein). It was placed under protection on May 15, 1990. The protection goal is to preserve a lowland used as grassland as a biotope network between the nature reserves Lankower See and Goldensee . During the GDR era, the areas were isolated and inaccessible near the inner-German border.

The current state of the area is considered to be satisfactory. The areas can only partially fulfill their function as a biotope network due to the adjacent intensive agricultural use. There are no public roads through the area.
