Stepenitz and Maurine lowlands nature reserve

The Stepenitz- und Maurine-Niederung nature reserve is a 501 hectare nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is located south of Dassow , north of Schönberg and was expelled in 1996. The protection purpose consists in the near-natural preservation of the lower reaches of Stepenitz and Maurine with large areas of marshland. The state of the area is assessed as good. The protected area can only be viewed from the old Dassow-Schönberg embankment .
