The nature reserve chamber rupture is approximately 143  hectares large protected area in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . It is located in the communities of Lüdersdorf and Utecht in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg . It was placed under protection on May 15, 1990 with the aim of preserving a section of the valley moor with alder and ash forests that is little cut up by roads and paths.

The areas of the nature reserve are located entirely in the Schaalsee biosphere reserve and in the EU bird sanctuary DE-2331-471 Schaalsee landscape . Small parts of the nature reserve are also part of the FFH area DE-2230-306 east bank of Großer Ratzeburger See (MV) and Mechower Grenzgraben .

The current state of the area is regarded as satisfactory because the water balance of the areas is disturbed.

Green band

Because of its secluded location on the inner-German border, the nature reserve is now part of the so-called Green Belt .
