Ernst Brändel

Ernst Brändel (born September 21, 1883 in Zwickau ; † October 12, 1947 in Sandbostel ) was district leader in Uelzen from 1930 to 1939 and from 1941 district leader of Verden of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) in Lower Saxony.

Life

Brändel was transferred to Cuxhaven in 1939 . Two years later he was appointed district leader of Verden.

On April 24, 1945, Ernst Brändel was arrested by the Allies in Verden and taken two days later to the Sandbostel internment camp (formerly Stalag XB ). A case against Brändel opened by the Spruchkammer in Stade on May 12, 1947 ended without a judgment, as the defendant died during the trial in October 1947.
