Dawid Jackiewicz

Dawid Bohdan Jackiewicz (born March 18, 1973 in Wroclaw ) is a Polish politician. He was a local civil servant, a member of the Sejm , State Secretary in the Ministry of State Property , and a member of the European Parliament since 2014 . Between 2015 and 2016 he headed the State Assets Department.

In 2001 he finished his political science studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wroclaw .

In 2000 and 2001 he worked as the head of the marketing department of Adavis Sp. Z oo and as the head of Jan Olszewski's Wroclaw MPs . In the local elections in 2002, he was the deputy head of the campaign staff of Rafał Dutkiewicz , who ran for the office of mayor of Wroclaw. In these elections he also won a mandate as a city councilor. He was a member of the parliamentary group of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS) and chairman of the commission for public relations and cooperation with foreign countries. In 2003 he resigned as city councilor and became deputy city president for architecture and construction, land planning, environmental protection, agriculture and monument protection.

In the 2005 Sejm elections he was on the list of PiS deputies for the constituency of Wroclaw. In the Sejm of the fifth electoral term he was deputy chairman and then chairman of the Commission for Local Self-Government and Regional Policy. From September 13 to November 21, 2007, he was State Secretary in the Ministry of State Treasury.

In the 2007 parliamentary elections , he won a seat in the Sejm for the second time with 14,653 votes. He was deputy chairman of the State Treasury Commission and a member of the Local Government Commission.

In the 2014 European elections , Jackiewicz was elected to the European Parliament .

In the PiS he is a member of the regional board and chairman of the regional board of Wroclaw.

In November 2015 he was appointed Minister of State Property in the Szydło Cabinet. He was dismissed from his position on September 15, 2016.
