Mariusz Błaszczak
Mariusz Błaszczak (born September 19, 1969 in Legionowo ) is a Polish politician , member of the Sejm in the 6th , 7th and 8th electoral terms ; from November 2015 Minister of the Interior in the Szydło Cabinet , since January 2018 Minister of Defense in the Morawiecki I and Morawiecki II Cabinets .

Błaszczak graduated from the Faculty of History of the University of Warsaw in 1994 and graduated from the State School of Public Administration (2001). He also completed postgraduate studies in local government and regional development (1997) and management in administration (2006). He also did an internship in Ireland .
He belonged to the Niezależne Zrzeszenie Studentów (Independent Student Association NZS), the Association of Catholic Academic Youth and the Porozumienie Centrum (Center Agreement - PC), after which he joined the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS). He sits on the regional board of this party for the Masovian Voivodeship .
After graduating, he worked in municipal administration. From 2002 to 2004 he was the representative of the mayor of Warsaw 's Wola district . In December 2004 he became mayor of the Warsaw Śródmieście district . In October 2005 he was appointed Head of the Prime Minister's Office by Prime Minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz . He fulfilled this function under Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński until November 4, 2007.
From November 24, 2006 to November 2007, he sat in the Sejmik of the Masovian Voivodeship. On March 27, 2007, he was appointed Minister without Portfolio by Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, and on September 7, 2007, he was dismissed from this position.
In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was elected for the constituency Warsaw II with 10,061 votes on the list of PiS deputies of the Sejm. He is deputy chairman of the Sejm Commission for State Control and a member of the Commission for Administration and Internal Affairs.
On November 16, 2015, he was appointed Minister of the Interior and Administration in Beata Szydło's cabinet . On January 9, 2018, he took over the post of Minister of Defense in the Morawiecki government. In August 2018 he defamed homosexual people as sodomites on the radio station Mariya .
