Ernst Einsiedel

Ernst Einsiedel (born July 29, 1941 in Eibenstock ) is a former German football player .

Ernst Einsiedel played for Wismut Eibenstock in his youth . In 1960 he moved to SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt and played there until 1975, from 1963 the soccer team belonged again to the BSG Wismut Aue . He came to his first league game on September 13, 1961 in the home game against SC Motor Jena (2-0). From 1961 to 1975, the striker played a total of 260 league games and scored 61 goals.

Einsiedel played his last championship game on May 24, 1975 at home against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . In this game Wismut Aue saved with a 2-1 in the last minute from relegation to the GDR league.

In his heyday, Ernst Einsiedel was one of the best strikers in the GDR league and was characterized by speed and assertiveness. Most feared were his drawn-out dribbles. At the end of his career he was used by coach Bringfried Müller in the full-back position.

Einsiedel never came to international appearances because BSG players had almost no chance to play in national teams. He received his only appointment to the national team of the GDR when Georg Buschner acted as national team coach for the first time. But in the 1-1 draw in Kraków against Poland , Ernst Einsiedel was only on the bench.

After his career, Ernst Einsiedel was section head at Wismut Aue for many years.

He has two sons and a daughter. Son Ulf later also became a top division player at BSG Wismut Aue . Between 1986 and 1989 he played 42 league games (two goals).
