Ernst Fink (politician, 1933)

Ernst Fink (born May 22, 1933 in Rankweil ; † June 25, 2011 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and estate administrator. From 1984 to 1994 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Fink attended elementary school in Rankweil and then graduated from the Mehrerau agricultural college and, from 1952 to 1955, from the Raumberg-Seefeld Federal Higher Education Institute. He worked from 1955 to 1967 as an employee of the Maldina manor and then managed the manor from 1967 to 1993 as an estate manager. He then worked from 1970 to 1993 as the estate manager of the Rankweil care home, and in 1993 he retired. In addition to his work as estate manager, Fink was also employed as a teacher for agricultural engineering at the Hohenems agricultural college between 1974 and 1996 .

Politics and functions

Fink joined the Austrian People's Party or its sub-organization, the Austrian Farmers' Union , around 1951 . From 1974 he was chairman of the Rankweil farmers' union and in 1975 he became a substitute member of the Rankweil municipal council , where he held this position until 1995.

As a member of the electoral district of Feldkirch from November 6, 1984 to October 3, 1994, he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament and during this time was a member of the state party leadership of the ÖVP Vorarlberg and a member of the district party leadership of the ÖVP Feldkirch. He was also a member of the district management of the Feldkirch farmers 'union, a member of the Regio Vorderland and a member of the jury and lay judges' list commission. He was also involved in various alumni associations, cattle breeding associations and as a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Vorarlberg . Fink was also active in the Rankweil dairy and cattle breeding association and in the Rankweil fruit and horticultural association, regional chairman of the Vorarlberg fruit and horticultural association and a member of the Rankweil men's choir.

Private

Ernst Fink was born as the son of the estate manager Adolf Fink and his wife Anna. He married Helma Vonbank in 1957 and had three sons between 1958 and 1962.
