Ernst Frauchiger

Ernst Frauchiger-Reyher (born April 21, 1903 in Langenthal , † April 15, 1975 in Walenstadt ) was a Swiss neurologist .

Life

Frauchiger studied medicine in Geneva, Paris, Rome, Vienna and Zurich, passed the state examination at the University of Zurich and received his doctorate in 1929 . In 1933 he completed his habilitation with a thesis on comparative neurology at the veterinary faculty of the University of Zurich. In 1934 he received his habilitation for neurology and animal psychology at the University of Bern .

From 1953 to 1956 Frauchiger was President of the Swiss Neurological Society and President of the Fédération Mondiale de Neurologie .
