Ernst Heinen

Ernst Heinen (born September 4, 1933 in Cologne-Mülheim ) is a German historian .

Life

Heinen comes from a family of craftsmen. From 1954 to 1962 he studied history, Latin philology and philosophy at the Pedagogical Academy in Cologne and at the University of Cologne . From 1963 to 1964 he was an assistant at the PH Neuss. From 1963 to 1965 he was a lecturer at the PH Kettwig. From 1964 to 1969 he was a lecturer and since 1969 scientific advisor and professor at the PH Westfalen-Lippe, Siegerland department. From 1972 to 1990 he was professor at the PH Rhineland, Cologne Department, and from 1990 to 1998 professor for modern history and didactics of history at the educational science faculty of the University of Cologne. He lives in Cologne-Widdersdorf .
