Ernst Kristian Johann Kirchsteiger (born November 3, 1957 in Kroppa, Värmland County ) is a Swedish designer, interior designer and television presenter . He is a presenter for television programs such as Sommartorpet , Nya rum , Jul med Ernst and Sommar med Ernst . He worked for SVT from 2000 to 2007 and has been with the Swedish TV channel TV4 since 2007 .

biography

Ernst Kirchsteiger's father is Austrian. His mother is Polish. He grew up in Degerfors, where his parents came in 1955. He worked as an interior designer at IKEA until the beginning of his television career.

Kirchsteiger was the Christmas host at Julaftonskvällen 2004 in the SVT. He also worked as a cook for 16 years. In 2005 he was selected as Filipstad Ambassador . In 2006 the book Ernstologi (written by Björn Höglund and William Oudhuis) was published as a book with collected quotations from Ernst Kirchsteiger.

From 2000 to 2007 he presented the television program Sommartorpet . In the autumn of the same year, Kirchsteiger switched to TV4, where he initially presented the auction program Första, andra, tredje in 2007 and 2008 . He has also hosted his own interior shows Sommar med Ernst and Jul med Ernst . In November 2012 his own newspaper Hemma med Ernst was published .

Ernst Kirchsteiger lives in Örebro and has two children.
